SUMMARY: 

This fellow will learn about and support the daily essential operations of Roundabout's Artistic department. The Fellow will be trained in script analysis and coverage, producing readings and workshops, and organizational skills around script databases, artist support programs, special events, and administrative work.

POSITION BREAKDOWN:

  • 55% - Daily operations of department.
  • 25% - Long term projects.
  • 20% - Professional Development with the TWDP Admin Cohort.

DAILY OPERATION TASKS:

  • Read play submissions and attend external staged readings of new work.
  • Critically analyze scripts and write short summaries for internal review.
  • Assist with producing Roundabout’s readings, workshops, and other events.
  • Assist with payroll and other financial processes.
  • Help maintain Roundabout’s literary database.
  • Support the administration of artist support programs.
  • Administrative tasks to support the Artistic Department.

LONG TERM PROJECTS:

  • Researching and writing for Roundabout’s Upstage Guides and information session
  • Becoming the lead contact on the producing of a reading.
  • Supporting the research, reading, curation, and production processes for The Refocus Project.
