MICHAEL SHANNON (James Tyrone, Jr. ).<\/strong> Academy Award nominee Michael Shannon is making his mark working with many of the industry's most honored talents and treading the boards in the world's most respected theatres. Upcoming this Fall, Shannon stars opposite Andrew Garfield in 99 Homes<\/em>, and co-stars with Julianne Moore and Ellen Page in Freeheld<\/em>. Also this year, Shannon will star in The Night Before<\/em> opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen and Lizzy Caplan, and Jeff Nichol\u2019s Midnight Special<\/em> opposite Kirsten Dunst, Adam Driver, Joel Edgerton and Sam Shepard. Shannon\u2019s previous collaborations with Nichols include Take Shelter<\/em>, for which he received a 2011 Film Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Actor; as well as the films Mud<\/em> and Shotgun Stories<\/em>. Shannon recently completed production on Liza Johnson\u2019s Elvis & Nixon<\/em> opposite Kevin Spacey, Matthew M. Ross\u2019 Frank and Lola<\/em> opposite Imogen Poots, and Untitled Joshua Marston Project<\/em>, co-starring opposite Rachel Weisz, Kathy Bates and Danny Glover.<\/p>

He is currently in production on Werner Herzog\u2019s Salt and Fire<\/em>, alongside Gael Garcia Bernal and Veronica Ferras, followed by Siofra Campbell\u2019s The Price <\/em>opposite Noomi Rapace. Most notably, Shannon made his mark in an Oscar-nominated supporting role in Revolutionary Road<\/em>, directed by Sam Mendes, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and Kathy Bates. For all his roles on screen, Shannon maintains a connection to theatre. In 2012, Shannon appeared opposite Paul Rudd, Ed Asner, and Kate Arrington in Grace<\/em> at the Cort Theatre, for which he was nominated for a 2013 Distinguished Performance Drama League Award. In 2010, he led Craig Wright's Off-Broadway play, Mistakes Were Made<\/em>, at the Barrow Street Theater, which earned him an Outstanding Lead Actor Lortel Award nomination, an Outstanding Actor in a Play Drama Desk Award nomination, an Outstanding Solo Performance Outer Critics Award nomination, and a Distinguished Performance Drama League Award nomination. Additional theatre credits include Uncle Vanya<\/em> (Soho Rep Theatre), Our Town<\/em> (Barrow Street Theatre), Lady<\/em> (Rattlestick Theatre), The Metal Children<\/em> (Vineyard Theatre), The Little Flower of East Orange<\/em> (Public Theatre), The Pillowman<\/em> and Man From Nebraska <\/em>(Steppenwolf Theatre), Bug<\/em> (Barrow Street Theatre, Red Orchid Theatre and Gate Theatre), Mr. Kolpert<\/em> and The Killer <\/em>(Red Orchid Theatre), Killer Joe<\/em> (SoHo Playhouse, Next Lab Theatre and Vaudeville Theatre), The Idiot<\/em> (Lookingglass Theatre) and Woyzeck<\/em> (Gate Theatre).
