Following that, Campbell understudied in the Broadway production of Tom Stoppard's <em>The Real Thing<\/em>, starring Jeremy Irons and later, Nicol Williamson. He has also appeared on Broadway in an acclaimed production of<em> Long Day's Journey Into Night<\/em> with Jason Robards and Colleen Dewhust, <em>Ah! Wilderness<\/em>, <em>Hay Fever<\/em> and <em>The Queen And The Rebels<\/em>. Off-Broadway, Campbell has appeared in <em>The Last Outpost<\/em>, <em>Copperhead<\/em>,<em> A Man For All Seasons<\/em>,<em> On The Bum <\/em>and most recently in the title role of <em>The Atheist<\/em>. He played the title role of <em>Hamlet <\/em>at the Old Globe in San Diego, receiving excellent reviews. He played Hamlet again at the Huntington Theatre in Boston. Campbell\u2019s other Shakespearean roles include Angelo in <em>Measure for Measure<\/em> at Lincoln Center, the title role of <em>Pericles<\/em> at the New York Shakespeare Festival, and Iago in <em>Othello<\/em> at the Philadelphia Drama Guild.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>Regionally, Campbell has been seen in <em>Our Town<\/em>, <em>Gilette<\/em>, <em>School for Wives<\/em> and for the Williamstown Theatre Festival, <em>Miss Julie <\/em>and <em>Dead End<\/em>. His first film role was in <em>From Hollywood To Deadwood<\/em> followed by the highly praised <em>Longtime Companion<\/em>,<em> The Feud<\/em>, and Bernardo Bertolucci's <em>The Sheltering Sky<\/em>. Scott appeared in <em>Dead Again <\/em>directed by Kenneth Branagh and starred opposite Julia Roberts in <em>Dying Young<\/em> directed by Joel Schumacher, <em>Singles <\/em>directed by Cameron Crowe, <em>The Innocent <\/em>directed by John Schlesinger, <em>Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle<\/em> directed by Alan Rudolph, <em>Only With You<\/em> and <em>Let It Be Me<\/em>. He co-stars with Steve Martin in David Mamet's film <em>The Spanish Prisoner<\/em>. His most recent film appearances include <em>Big Night<\/em>, <em>The Daytrippers<\/em>, <em>Ship of Fools<\/em>, <em>Hi-Life<\/em>,<em> Top of the Food Chain<\/em>, <em>Spring Forward<\/em>, <em>Other Voices<\/em>, <em>Lush<\/em>, <em>Delivering Milo<\/em>, <em>Roger Dodger<\/em>, <em>Secret Lives of Dentists<\/em>, <em>Loverboy<\/em>,<em> Marie and Bruce <\/em>and has completed the upcoming features <em>Duma<\/em>, <em>Saint Ralph<\/em>, <em>The Exorcism of Emily Rose<\/em>, and <em>The Dying Gaul<\/em>, for which he starred and produced.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>For television he starred in, co-directed and produced \u201cHamlet\u201d for the Odyssey Network. He also starred as Joseph Kennedy, Jr. in \u201cThe Kennedys of Massachusetts,\u201d co-starred with Ben Kingsley and Joanna Lumley in \u201cSweeney Todd\u201d for Showtime, co-starred with Jennifer Jason Leigh in \u201cThe Love Letter\u201d for Hallmark Hall of Fame, \u201cShot in the Heart\u201d for HBO and \u201cFollow the Stars Home\u201d for Hallmark Hall of Fame, again co-starring with Jennifer Jason Leigh. He starred in the series \u201cSix Degrees.\u201d As a director, Mr. Scott co-directed the film <em>Big Night<\/em> with Stanley Tucci and has finished directing <em>Off the Map<\/em>. For the stage, he has directed <em>Miss Julie<\/em>, <em>Snake Pit<\/em> and <em>Recruiting Officer<\/em>. He has also completed directing and producing his film <em>Company Retreat<\/em> and appeared off Broadway with great success in the one man play <em>The Athiest<\/em>. He appeared prominently on the second season of the hit TV series \u201cDamages\u201d and is currently on \u201cRoyal Pains.\u201d<\/p>","website":"","alt":null}
