MARJAN NESHAT<\/strong> (Marjan<\/em>) recently starred in the one-woman thriller Sandra <\/em>by <\/em>David Cale at the Vineyard Theater. She led the cast of Sanaz Toossi\u2019s new play Wish You Were Here<\/em> at Playwrights Horizons, and also starred in Ms. Toossi\u2019s Pulitzer Prize-winning play English<\/em> at the Atlantic Theater, for which she won an Obie Award. She originated the role of \u201cAfiya\u201d in the Pulitzer Prize Finalist play Selling Kabul <\/em>by Sylvia Khoury at Playwrights Horizons and Williamstown Theater Festival. Other theater includes the Shakespeare in the Park production of Julius Caesar <\/em>(NYSF), and The Seagull<\/em> (with Alan Cumming and Dianne Wiest). Marjan\u2019s feature film work includes leading roles in the multi-award-winning film Rockaway<\/em> as well as in the indie features Almost in Love, Cry Funny Happy<\/em> and Happy For You.<\/em> She has played supporting roles in many films, including Robocop, Sex and the City 2, Alfie,<\/em> and Love-40. <\/em>Marjan\u2019s TV work includes a recurring role on season 2 of the upcoming hit series The Night Agent<\/em> (Netflix), New Amsterdam, For Life, Bull, Elementary, Quantico, Law & Order: SVU,<\/em> and Fringe<\/em> among others. She is a 2022 recipient of the Sam Norkin Drama Desk Award for her portrayals in Selling Kabul<\/em> and English<\/em> in the same season.<\/p>","website":"","alt":null}
