LAURA BENANTI. Tony\u00ae<\/span> Award-winner and five-time Tony\u00ae<\/span> Award nominee Laura Benanti is a highly celebrated stage and screen actress. Ms. Benanti has an impressive television roster including Hulu\u2019s \u201cLife & Beth,\u201d created by and starring Amy Schumer, the hit series \u201cYounger,\u201d HBO Max\u2019s \u201cGossip Girl\u201d reboot, and the second season of HBO Max\u2019s \u201cThe Gilded Age.\u201d Other television credits include guest starring roles on \u201cCinema Toast,\u201d created by Jeff Baena and produced by the Duplass Brothers, \u201cZiwe\u201d featuring comedian Ziwe Fumudoh, both for Showtime. As well as \u201cInside Amy Schumer\u201d on Paramount+ (among many others). Benanti has also made widely acclaimed appearances on \u201cThe Late Show With Stephen Colbert\u201d as Melania Trump. In the theater, Ms. Benanti took Broadway by storm at the age of 18 as Maria in The Sound of Music<\/em> and has subsequently starred in ten more Broadway shows including Into the Woods<\/em>, Nine<\/em>, Gypsy<\/em> (for which she won a Tony Award), She Loves Me<\/em>, My Fair Lady<\/em>, and Meteor Shower<\/em>. Additionally, Benanti created and executive produced the HBO Max special \u201cHomeschool Musical: Class Of 2020\u201d based on her viral social media movement: #sunshinesongs.
